Asbestos has been removed. Moving on to the actual Elevator

Construction is underway. Asbestos has been removed.

Vinnie's is closed. Please hold your donations. A reminder that we do not accept car seats.

Various group activities may be affected by access restrictions during elevator installation.
Please read carefully.

Scope of the work

•The elevator will be installed to replace the existing stairs between the Chapel entrance and the Hall.
•The Custodian's office will be converted into a new stairwell leading to street level on the Priest’s driveway.
•All work is scheduled for completion by the end of November, though contingencies could extend or shorten this timeline.
•Work will be up to 5½ days per week, but not Saturday afternoons or Sundays.

Impact on Hall users
•The Hall itself will remain accessible from the lobby stairs and the circle and Penetang Entrances.
•Workers will need a corridor through the Hall down the Penetang side to the exit for removal of materials.
•Vinnie's will not be accessible until further notice.
•Custodian's room storage must be cleared as soon as possible.
•Eventually steel cabinets will be provided on stage.
•Some custodial supplies and tools will be moved to the Hall temporarily.

Chapel entrance & Mass access
•The Chapel entrance will remain open for Mass and Adoration.
•The existing right side stairwell will be enclosed and replaced by the elevator shaft.
•The area will be protected by a temporary wall.
•Expect some brief blockages and typical construction noise.
•Elevator service is expected by the end of November.

Post construction
•The Good Shepherd's room will become the Custodian's office.
•Secure steel cabinets on the stage will be for groups' storage needs.
•Spare chairs and tables will remain in the Hall.
